Maddie Monahan is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and received her B.S. in Global Health Studies just north of the city at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. She is also an AmeriCorps alum who served as a Nutrition Educator at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank teaching children, adults, and families all about healthy eating and cooking. She has continued the pursuit of community nutrition at Tulane and began working with PRC in fall 2016. She is currently a MPH candidate studying nutrition in the department of Global Community Health and Behavioral Sciences with a specific interest in food security.
